CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Thank you for your purchase from Forty Seven Woodshop! When it is time to clean your board, it is important to follow the tips below in order to avoid damage and maximize the lifespan.

1. Hand wash with soap and water. Never put your wood board in the dishwasher. Prop the board on its edge and allow to completely air dry.
2. If the board has deep scratches, sand the board with steel wool or a piece of high grit sand paper.
3. Apply a thin coat of the provided board wax or any other food safe board oil. Allow the wax or oil to soak in to the board for a few hours or preferably overnight. 
4. Once it is dried, buff the remaining wax with a clean cotton cloth until you have a soft, smooth finish.
